Vitra DSR Colours Chair

The new outdoor DSR Colours Chair RE (now made from recycled plastic) by Charles and Ray Eames from Vitra is a perfect blend of style and functionality. The lightweight DSR Colours Chair is designed for outdoor environments, with its powder-coated steel frame and durable plastic shell. The seat shell is resistant to fading, ensuring that its bright colours remain vibrant and beautiful, but we recommend limited exposure to sunlight. The chair’s ergonomic design provides optimal comfort, ideal for long hours of alfresco dining. The plastic shell is contoured to fit the body’s natural shape, while the steel base provides stable support for a comfortable seating experience. The DSR Colours Chair is available in four pre-defined colour combinations: pebble grey shell and sea foam green base; mustard shell and citron base; sea blue shell and sky blue base; forest shell and dark green base.

As of January 2024, Eames plastic chair shells are manufactured by Vitra from post-consumer recycled plastic (see below). Due to the composition of the recycled material, the different colour variations of the seat shells are interspersed with tiny specks of pigment.
